Cruising and Creeking On the Bay Through the Last of Summer
On August 20th, Club members held another of their Mid-Week “Lunch on the Hook” gatherings for a buffet and Marley at anchor on a lazy afternoon on the Rhode River at LAT 38.53N, LON 76.32W, to share summer adventures. Then, this active cruising club held a raft up on Weems Creek off the Severn River on August 23-24 for d’oeuvers, drinks, and dinner aboard, to squeeze in another weekend raftup just before the Club’s annual Labor Day Cruise on August 30-September 1 to St. Michaels, where the Club was again hosted by the Miles River Yacht Club.
There will be another Mid-Week on the Hook event September 10, and another weekend cruise on the 13-14th, leading on September 27-28 to one of the Club’s outstanding events on the Bay, its annual members and guests, “all you can eat” Crab Feast again hosted by Members Jean and Larry Kelly at their home right on Herrington Bay on the shore just by Herrington Harbor North.
