FEBRUARY 20, 2010 - Italian Cuisine and Wine Dinner
February's social event will be an Italian wine dinner. The last two years JJ and Juliana hosted a red wine and chocolate extravaganza, but this year they depart from the Valentine theme to provide a meal for which both vino bianco and vino rosso can be imbibed. Come join your club mates and mangia Italian cuisine on Saturday, February 20 at 6pm in the Community Center of Epping Forest in Annapolis. The cost is $38 per person. Deadline to RSVP and pay is Wednesday, February 17.
The menu:
Antipasto (Appetizer) - olives, sopressata, capicola and nuts
Insalata (salad) - Panzanella (Tuscan style bread soaked in olive oil, herbs and mixed with basil and tomatoes)
Primi Piatti (First Course) - Penne pasta with brocolli and crab
Secundo Piatti (Second Course) - Braised pork medallions cooked with marsala wine and served with verdura miste (mixed vegetables)
Pasticerria (dessert) - Tiramisu and/or almond biscotti
Caffe and Dolce Vino (coffee and dessert wine)
COST: $38 per person

From Route 50 take exit 23 north toward Crownsville via Generals Highway.
Pass Annapolis mall on right and Sam’s Club on left.
Go about 1/4 mile to traffic light with large Veterinarian office on the right.
Turn right on Epping Forest Rd.
Follow Epping Forest Rd about 2 miles to entrance gate for Epping Forest
If the gate is down, the entry code is 6527. Gate will stay open till you pass through.
Stay on the main road keeping to the left.
Pass over three speed bumps and go down a steep winding hill with a traffic circle at the bottom.
Go ½ of the way around the circle to continue down Severn Rd, which is still steep and winding.
At the bottom of the hill pass the tennis courts on the left and you are in a large parking lot in front of the Epping Forest Club House. |

Back Creek Yacht Club is calling all captains and crew to a Midwinter Midweek Antifreeze & Tune-Up get together at Carrol's Creek restaurant.
What, you never heard of this! You winterize the boat. You winterize the car. It is time you take care of YOU. Carrol's Creek is offering HALF PRICE APPETIZERS 4:00-7:00 to start your engines. The bartender will pour your favorite Antifreeze to keep all systems running smoothly. The lounge area is great for our Tune-Up Service....with plenty of room for all frames. Our last Midweek there, another cold night, found us enjoying the full evening in this comfy side of the house. Dine here too…there is plenty of room with regular and low travel lifts.
